Why teams move

• Breadth over depth. It also does social images and marketing graphics, and a product spread across those jobs is not primarily engineered around long, data-heavy documents.
• Drag-and-drop is excellent for a certificate or a one-page report and awkward for a document whose length depends on the data — placing boxes is a poor fit for a table that might run to four pages.
• The complicated cases fall back to HTML templates, so the visual editor stops helping exactly where documents get hard.
• Reflow behaviour is not stated anywhere. What a template does when a field runs long is something you discover by trying it.

What is different here

When to stay with APITemplate.io

It is often the right answer. If any of these describe you, this is not a migration worth making.

• You need social and marketing images as well as documents. That is a genuinely different job and this product does not do it.
• Your documents are short and fixed-length — certificates, badges, single-page summaries — where a visual editor is the faster tool.
• Non-technical colleagues already build templates there and it works. Do not break that.

What moving involves

1. 1 Fixed-layout templates transfer straightforwardly; the ones worth moving first are those that have started fighting variable-length data.
2. 2 The JSON payload usually carries over unchanged, then gains a schema so mismatches fail loudly.
3. 3 Anything image-related should stay where it is — replacing it is not what this is for.
